Parkland High School has hired Scott Ketcham as its new head boys' lacrosse coach. Ketcham is a familiar name in the Lehigh Valley, having previously served as head coach for Emmaus High School for six years, where he led the Green Hornets to three District 11 championships between 2013 and 2015 and a Lehigh Valley Conference title in 2012.
Ketcham takes over a talented Parkland squad that finished with a 16-5 record this year, falling to Easton in the District 11 3A title game. Parkland is expected to be a top contender for East Penn and District 11 honors in 2026.
Ketcham stepped down from his role at Emmaus in 2017 after the birth of his son to pursue a master’s degree. He did, however, return to assist the Emmaus team during the 2021-22 season.
In a statement about his new role, Ketcham said there's "not a ton of overhauling that needs change" and that he's looking forward to putting a "slight spin on an already talented group of student-athletes." He added that his long-term goal is to build an "elite level of lacrosse both here and beyond."
Parkland's interim head coach, Cory Andrews, will remain with the team as an assistant coach.
